It’s been reported that Santa Claus will be hanging at the market Saturday, and Sweet Muse will also be joined by several other holiday vendors.

This is our first day at the market, one of New York City’s historic indoor markets (and nice and warm by the way).  Will let you know how it goes!

As Daniel, the sommelier at my table, explained, this slightly sweet, slightly fruity wine works well with the rich chocolate flavor of the brownies, while the wine’s crispness provides a refreshing contrast. Everyone appeared to love this wine, and many returned for seconds, maybe even thirds (I really wasn’t counting.)

So, along with meeting 5 other artisanal dessert makers and many dessert lovers, I also learned about this wonderful wine to pair with Sweet Muse fudgy brownies!

This fantastic event is being held to help support the construction of the CampVenture Indoor Equestrian Center so please plan to attend and enjoy great chocolates, baked goods, cheeses, wines, beers and more!

There will be ample Sweet Muse fudge brownies available for sampling, and gourmet brownie gift tins and individual brownies in a variety of flavors will be available for sale. Sweet Muse will also be featuring Easter and spring cookie charms to celebrate the new season and warmer weather.

Among the other vendors participating at the event will be Fretzels by Jill, offering delicious gourmet chocolate covered pretzels, and Gourmetibles, the candy that thinks it’s a cookie.

Not, mind you, because I have the illusion that I am a particular witty writer or noted expert but because I wanted to create a forum where I could connect with those of you who enjoy indulging in Sweet Muse brownies. I am interested in your feedback on flavors and how I can make indulging in Sweet Muse even more delicious, fun, or inspirational. I’d love to get your ideas about new special edition flavor creations you would like to see and learn about your favorite inspirational quotes and hear why they inspire you. A blog seemed to be the best way to do all of that.

Sweet Musings will also include favorite recipes I have tried that I would like to share, mentions of places where I have sampled yummy treats, and random inspirations that seem notable. I hope you’ll check in every now and again and share your thoughts.
